About our platform, content responsibility, and copyright compliance.

TL;DR: A private collaboration platform for teams. You have full creative control and privacy, with clear procedures for any concerns.

Private Collaboration Platform

This platform helps music teams collaborate effectively. Your session recordings stay private within your team, providing a secure space to review, discuss, and improve your music together.

We protect your privacy and support responsible music-making.

Your Music, Your Privacy

Your creative process remains confidential. Within the platform, recordings are accessible only to invited team members - no public access, no search engines, no outside interference. Your content requires team authentication to access.

Keep in mind that team members you invite can export or download content (such as final mixes). Once a file leaves the platform, it is outside our control, and what happens to it is the responsibility of the person who exported it.

Complete Creative Control

You maintain full creative control over your music. We provide the platform and tools; you decide what to share and how to use our features.

When uploading content, you confirm having the rights to share it with your team. This includes original songs, covers, samples, or any other session audio.

Your team manages creative materials in the way that works best for your music.

Your Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for the content you upload, and for anything you export from the platform and share elsewhere, including having the necessary rights for that use (for example, distributing a recording of a cover song publicly may require licenses that private team practice does not). Elattoo is a hosting platform: we do not pre-screen, monitor, or endorse user content, and we are not responsible for it. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that you own it or have permission from the rights holder, and you agree that Elattoo is not liable for claims arising from content you upload, export, or share. We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to remove any content and to suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion, to comply with the law or protect the platform and its users.

Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Notice)

Elattoo Inc. is a Canadian company and handles infringement claims in accordance with Canada's Copyright Act, including its notice-and-notice provisions (under which we forward valid notices to the user who uploaded the material). Because Elattoo may also be used from the United States, we additionally respond to notices that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe your copyrighted work is being used on Elattoo without permission, send a notice to our designated agent at copyright@elattoo.com including all of the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (such as a link or the team and recording name)
  • Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address)
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material promptly and notify the user who uploaded it. Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes material misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to copyright@elattoo.com including: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Elattoo may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice. If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant informs us that they have filed a court action.

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Team-Focused Design

This platform is designed for private team collaboration. It has no public sharing features, social feeds, or external discovery - just focused tools for making great music with your bandmates. You can export your work (like a final mix) to use outside the platform; how you use and share exported files is up to you, and your responsibility.
